Family Pics

We went and got our family pictures taken about a week and a half ago. There's a girl in our ward who does it from her home and she was really great. Totally patient and understanding with our silly boys who decided they didn't want to smile, or look at the camera as soon as we got there. Here are a few. Hope you enjoy.

This is one of Matt's favorites!

Our chubby little man. He turns 6-months old this Friday. Its gone by way too fast.

I didn't post the one of Gavin picking his nose, I choose this one instead. :)

Ah yes the family from 1950!

He looks so Innocent here. What a ploy.

This makes my heart smile. I should look at it every time Gavin is going nuts.

Why is he always eating things? I think he's finally teething.

My favorite. This is what I get to wake up to in the morning.

So this was a silly action shot. We were all situated, then Matt told an off colored joke and pretty soon we all lost it. Erin, our photographer caught it all.

I love this picture of Matt. This is how I see him, how his personality is at home. Yes he's still laughing from his joke earlier. And no I will not repeat it.

Ok this was me acting really ridiculous while she was trying to get her camera all ready. She added it to all the pictures she gave us. I thought it was pretty funny that she actually took it.

And last, but certainly not least, the final picture. We had to leave early because Gavin pee'd his pants. We didn't get to do any "all 3 boys" or "mom and boys." I think it was all part of his plan to be done and go home. He did however LOVE the Batman and Superman cars they had, as you can see.

December Update

Last Wednesday we finally went and got our tree. Gavin was really excited. We headed out to the farm we got to every year, and even though it was really cold out, he enjoyed holding my hand and pointing out all the trees. This is the one he finally decided on.

Gavin loves helping his dad! This is him helping Matt get the ladder for our lights. He did a really good job this year putting them all up. They look great, and Gavin loves seeing them. Every time we come home in the evening and the lights are on, he yells, "Lights on my house, lights on my house!"

I made some M&M Christmas cookies and Chocolate dipped-baked preztels for a party the other night. Ronin was right there with me making sure I made everything correctly. To be honest, I think he's finally teething and so chewing on this spoon was like heaven to him.

As you can see baking makes him just as happy as it makes me.

So the night after our Christmas party, was today, (Sunday) and Gavin woke up acting really wierd. I could telly he wasn't feeling well because he was super cuddley and quiet, which if you know Gavin, that's not him at all!

We headed to church and he sat on my lap just wanting to drink his chocolate milk. I told Matt we should leave right after Sacrament, meaning right after we took it, before any of the speakers. So we did. We were only there for 30 minutes.

The moment we walked through the door I sat down with Gavin and he threw up all over the place, over and over and over again! We literally left church just in time. This is him afterwards, cleaned up, feeling better and watching "How the Grinch stole Chritsmas." I hope it lasts. I hate it when my kids are sick! Worse thing ever.

Other then that, we're doing great. Only 2 weeks till Christams and besides the fact I'm behind in getting gifts, mailing cards and wrapping, I'm excited to spend it with my 3 beautiful boys.
p.s. I finished reading "The Help" and The hunger Games" this week. Honestly two of the best books I've read in a while, Besides "Jesus the Christ." I highly recomend all three !!!!!!

Nativity

Every year our church holds a community Nativity exhibit. People lend their nativity sets, (hundreds of them) and then they're beautifully set-up with lights, tables, fabric, boxes, plates, moldings, wood, frames....it's just really amazing and I can't do it justice. Tonight I took both boys with my friend Heidi, (Matt had signed-up to help direct parking) and it was a perfect way to start the season.

One of Gavin's favorite part, the children's area where they had two huge rooms set up like Jerusalem and Bethlehem. They had fake sheep, tents with pillows, and fake well, pretend candles with fake food and stables, lights, costumes to dress up like an Joseph and Mary....he really enjoyed it.

I love getting ready for Christmas, all the hustle and bustle that comes with it. But honestly, sometimes it feels a bit much. I'm grateful for the reminder of why we really celebrate it. I don't care about all the commercials, the shopping, the newest phones, tv's, ipads, cars, clothes, sutff people think they "have" to have....... blahhhhh.

In humility and awe, I humbly celebrate the birth the Savior of the world, the son of God, the Prince of Peace, Jesus The Christ.

Finally Back

It's been over a year, and after some hardship with our last blog, we finally decided to cut our loses and move on.  To be honest, I have a hard time blogging because I scrape book for both boys, have baby books, and memory-moments journal for things they do that I don't want to forget, (sometimes I write letters for them to read later) and of course, keep my own journal.  In any case, I wanted to get better at blogging so my family, (and friends) could keep up with what's going on in our life.  Here's to a new beginning.  Wish me luck.
I Changed the Wethreerudolphs (our old blogspot, since our family is growing) to RudolphsRakkaus.  Rakkaus means Love in Finnish, but when you read it, it looks like "ruckus" which is also fitting for our family. :)

Ronin's First  Halloween.  He wore his boo shirt all day and then later, a Duck Football Player.

Ronin and Superman. Gavin has been on a huge Superman Kick since August.

My little Oregon Football Player.  He is such a happy, yet laid-back baby. So different then Gavin was.
My three Wonderful boys.  I am a lucky girl.
Gavin and cousin (best friend), Nathen with their super hero costumes on.  Nathen's birthday was a superhero theme, and Gavin could not have been happier.

I love Gavin's total mushroom hair style  Although after naps and bedtimes, sometimes it looks like this!  I laugh, and then consider cutting it all off.  Thankfully this doesn't happen all the time.
Go Ducks!  I love this picture.
Gavin reading to his little brother. Matt took this picture, and as you can see, they stopped reading to watch whatever was on t.v.
Ronin's first Thanksgiving.  We spent it over at Eagle Crest with my family.  We had such a good time, hiking, golfing, baking, swimming, and of course eating.  Ronin is still nursing but he had a ball gnawing on this turkey my mom brought.

 And this Turkey.  Yummm!

Sorry this picture is sideways.  I loaded it before checking. Gavin loves to help me bake, and for some reason, wanted to help out totally naked.  I heard kids go through a phase where they don't want to wear clothes. Thankfully, it didn't last long.  And yes, his favorite part of helping is when he gets to lick the "spoon".
Hopefully this will be the first of more to come. We have a lot going on over the next couple of months, (races, new baking creations, first Christmas's, and more cute pictures of my beautiful sons) and I'll try my best to keep up.  Thanks for being patient with me.
